As long as we have dignity and respect ourselves we can deal with just about anything. The problem is, we are all now having to make increasingly difficult choices and its hard to know where and how to draw the line.
What’s more important? Being seen in the world and compromising some of your values? Having access to society or finding that some things are no longer possible? Redefining what matters or embracing everything?
There is another source of authority which we answer to. Sometimes it is diffcult to work out exactly what it is and what it demands of us. And yet, that voice is getting steadily louder. We have to find out how to live it.
Meanwhile the world is not such a nice place these days. There are some very dubious people around and our societies are falling apart. The sadness at the replacement of what was more entirely of the human spirit bites deeply.
But there is hope. It is just history. Empires crumble and their hubris is revealed. The people always knew the truth, even when everything worked and it was more manicured. That someone else is in charge and we are expected to obey.
We do not have to focus there. And in truth, we never were calibrated for the machinations of leaders and their oppression. We are beings of love. We are equal with the mountains, animals and the plants.
We are essential luminescence. This purity is where we live: high on the mountain top. And it can be embodied regardless of the story of the world. That authenticity is still alive and well on this planet. And we are going to find it.
